Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through currentra. The courses provide detailed instruction on audiovisual production topics including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. It governs transactions made by individuals and organisations located in the United Kingdom who enrol in our programmes or access supplementary materials. The policy covers one-time course purchases, bundled learning packages, and any associated digital downloads or access credentials. It does not extend to third-party services or physical goods unless explicitly stated at the point of sale.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges

All listed prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included in the displayed price for consumers. Corporate purchasers may be required to account for VAT separately under reverse charge rules. No hidden fees apply to standard enrolment. Where optional add-ons such as extended access periods or certification exams are selected, the additional cost is shown before payment is authorised. Currency conversion fees imposed by the purchaser's card issuer remain the responsibility of the buyer.

Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers for invoices over a certain threshold, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the moment of checkout through a secure third-party processor. Authorisation confirms sufficient funds and validates the card details. All transactions employ encryption and comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. currentra does not store full card numbers on its systems.

Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed

A contract forms once you receive an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email contains your enrolment details, access instructions, and a summary of the purchased course. Until this confirmation is sent, no binding agreement exists. Access to course materials is granted immediately upon confirmation for digital content, subject to the cooling-off provisions explained below.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of the order confirmation. During this period you may cancel without giving a reason. For digital courses, the right to cancel ends once you begin downloading or streaming the content, provided you have given prior express consent to start early and acknowledged that this waives the cancellation right. Subscriptions or recurring access plans may be cancelled at any time with effect from the next billing cycle.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services

Refunds are available during the cooling-off period if no substantial content has been accessed. Once significant progress has been made through the course modules, eligibility is limited to cases of technical failure on our side or material misrepresentation of course content. Non-refundable items include completed certification exams, personalised mentoring sessions already delivered, and promotional bundles where the discount was conditional on full participation. Promotional offers and gift purchases are generally excluded from refund unless the course is defective.

The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us via the form on the Contacts page or email info@dramabydesign.com. Provide your order number, full name, registered email address, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. For cooling-off cancellations, no further justification is required. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limits. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision

Our team reviews each request against the eligibility criteria within five working days. You will receive written notification of approval or rejection, including the reasons if refused. If approved, the refund is processed without further action on your part. Rejected requests may be appealed once with additional supporting evidence.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days, though some issuers may take longer. Bank transfer refunds are completed within seven working days. We notify you once the refund has been initiated. Any delay beyond these periods should be reported to info@dramabydesign.com.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant

Digital courses are treated as digital content under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Once you have started accessing the materials and acknowledged the loss of cancellation rights, refunds are available only for breach of the statutory quality standards. Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional pricing applies only to the initial term; subsequent periods revert to standard rates. Early termination of a subscription does not entitle you to a pro-rata refund unless the cancellation falls within the initial cooling-off window.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments must be resolved within seven days to maintain enrolment. Duplicate charges detected by our system are automatically credited back. If you notice an unauthorised charge, notify us immediately at info@dramabydesign.com. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in suspension of access pending investigation. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and may involve reporting to UK authorities under applicable fraud prevention rules.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights include remedies for goods or digital content that are not of satisfactory quality, as described, or fit for purpose. We cannot exclude liability for personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Any attempt to limit these rights is void.
