Our story

currentra began with a simple frustration: the best production knowledge lived inside control rooms and was rarely written down. Our tutors are working directors, shaders, lighting designers and audio engineers who decided to share what they know.

Today we help broadcasters, production companies and venue teams build confident crews, from a first-time vision mixer to an experienced head of engineering planning a new studio.

What we stand for

Four principles shape every course, workshop and studio session we run.

  • Hands-on first

Every course is built around real kit, real signal paths and real deadlines rather than slides.

  • Broadcast-grade standards

We teach to the loudness, colour and safety standards used by UK networks and event producers.

  • Made for live

Redundancy, communication and calm decision-making are practised until they become habit.

  • Crew-minded

We train directors, engineers and operators together, so teams leave speaking the same language.

Training that fits your schedule

Choose in-studio intensives, hybrid programmes or bespoke sessions delivered at your own facility. Groups stay small so everyone gets time on the equipment.
